Indiana ranks in the top 10 for least expensive states for auto insurance

ValuePengin, a LendingTree company, provides consumers with financial tools and information.  Last month, they published the states with the highest and lowest auto insurance rate averages.  Indiana is one of the least expensive.

The most expensive is Nevada, with an average of $286 per month, followed by Florida ($272), Michigan ($263), Louisiana ($249), Colorado ($241), Rhode Island ($237), Delaware ($230), Arizona ($218), Oklahoma ($200 -- that was as surprise I thought), and finally New Jersey at $199.

Indiana is 43rd, with an average of $130, with Maine as the least expensive at $103.
